Building Brighter Financial Futures

Credit Union of Georgia is proud to offer a Financial Literacy Course designed to equip students with real-world money skills and build confidence that lasts beyond the classroom.

This initiative reflects a commitment to helping bridge the gap between classroom learning and everyday financial life. By introducing practical money management concepts early,  This initiative bridges the gap between classroom learning and real-world financial skills, helping students build confidence in budgeting, saving, using credit responsibly, and making informed financial decisions. By supporting students and educators, Credit Union of Georgia is strengthening the financial future of communities across North Georgia.

Why Did Credit Union of Georgia Create a Financial Literacy Course?

While students learn core subjects like math and science, many graduate without a clear understanding of how to manage money in real life. This course helps close that gap by making financial concepts practical and accessible through readings, lesson activities, and group work opportunities.

Topics include:

• Building a budget
• Saving vs. spending
Setting financial goals
Understanding how credit works
Making informed financial decisions

Our goal is to help students feel confident managing money at every stage of life, and to prepare them for more challenging financial decisions later in life.

High School (Ninth – Twelfth Grade)
