Wire Forms & Instructions

Credit Union of Georgia can receive wires through the Federal Reserve Bank. We can also send both domestic and international wires. Outgoing domestic wires are $20 per transfer and outgoing international wires are $50 per transfer.

Wire Transfer Requirements

When sending a wire transfer to a Credit Union of Georgia account you MUST include the following details:

  • Your Name on your Credit Union of Georgia Account. Your name on the wire transfer request form must match exactly to the name on your Credit Union of Georgia account.
  • The Correct Account Number. Your account number is a 13 digit number that you can find through Online Banking.  

If ANY of these details are missing, this could result in funds being returned or rejected.

Wire Transfer Request Form Information

  • Originator/Payer Information – The person/business that is sending funds.
  • Beneficiary/Payee Information – The person/business that is receiving the funds.
  • Beneficiary/Payee Financial Institution – The financial institution that will be receiving the funds, so that the payee can access it.
  • Intermediary Financial Institution – This financial instruction acts as a bridge between the sending financial institution and the receiving financial institution. This is not always needed and can vary place to place. When sending a wire transfer to Credit Union of Georgia from another financial institution please be sure to include Corporate America Credit Union as the Intermediary Financial Institution on your wire transfer request form. Important note: Some financial institutions do not require an intermediary financial institution to perform wire transfers. Check with your financial institution about whether they use an intermediary financial institution in their outgoing wire transfer process.
