Credit Union of Georgia Raises Over $6,500 for The Salvation Army

Credit Union of Georgia employees volunteered to ring the bell for The Salvation Army at Kroger in Kennesaw for an entire week. Their efforts and Doing the Most Good spirit paid off as they raised over $2,600! Along with this total, the Credit Union contributed an additional $4,000 bringing the grand total of funds raised to help individuals and families in the community to over $6,500!

The Salvation Army helps communities, near and far, fight poverty, addiction, and homelessness. The money raised is given back to the community where it is received, providing help, hope and healing to our neighbors in need. Credit Union of Georgia employees were grateful for the opportunity to be able to give back to their community and help the Salvation Army give to those in need.

“Credit Union of Georgia enjoys spreading cheer and giving back to our community! We encourage not only employees to give back, but also educate our members as well. Together we can make a big difference in our community,” said Tom McNutt, Vice President of IT and The Salvation Army Marietta Corps, Board Member.
